Who we are
Not What You Might Think
Sometimes when I’m talking to people, and I mention God or make a reference to Jesus, people will often say, “I’m not a religious person” or “I’m not into religion.” They are usually quite surprised when I tell them, “I’m not either”.
The truth is that so much of what has been practiced in organized religion has little to do with what Jesus had in mind when He said, “I will build my church”.
At FBC, we’re not much into ‘church as usual’. In fact, first time people at FBC tend to find it very different from previous church experiences. If you think about church as you have had it, or as you’ve heard it, or as you expect it – that’s not us.
What Makes the Difference?
The church that Jesus had in mind is real, relevant, and relational. We don’t dress up for God and there is no need for putting on any kind of show. He knows absolutely everything about us after all, and He says that we are completely accepted in Him when we approach Him in simple, honest faith.
It’s not about formality. It’s about family. It’s not about tradition. It’s about the truth. It’s not about ritual. It’s about real issues. It’s not about legalism. It’s about life. It’s not about comparisons. It's about compassion. We like to say it’s about following Jesus, loving one another & blessing the world.
And Why Should You Care?
We’ve learned that people really are interested in Jesus and the difference He wants to make in our lives, if we can just cut through all the religious trappings that have been strung up in the way.
As the lead pastor of FBC I have the privilege of being part of a totally awesome family of faith as we share the journey together. And you can too. Our church can become your church. You will find, not only honest answers to life’s most important questions, but real people with genuine concern for you as a person.
If you already have a church family that enables you to experience what Jesus has for you, that’s great. But if not, you need to check us out.
So, on behalf of our people I want to personally invite you to drop in on us. There are different types of activities and groups happening at different times and places, but we meet all together at 38 Station Road every Sunday morning at 10:30. I’d love to see you and I hope I will. Come share the journey.

The Gospel Project 3 Core Values
Jesus Centered - Over 3 years our children will discover how the bible is all centered from Genesis to Revelations on Jesus and His story.
Gospel Transforming - Transforming kids hearts through the gospel, not behavior modification. We want to position the gospel to change their hearts. It is believed when a child fully understands God's love and is filled with His love, this will change how a child lives.
Missions driven - True heart transformation spills over into joining God in His mission. The Gospel Project is designed to encourage kids to be on mission for Him wherever they are.

Teach us to serve Thee
Teach us, good Lord, to serve Thee as Thou deservest: To give and not to count the cost; To fight and not to heed the wounds; To toil and not to seek for rest; To labour and not ask for any reward, save that of knowing that we do Thy will.
