Who we are
We, the members of First Baptist Church, a fellowship of the Body of Christ, declare the following as the purpose of our congregation: to worship God; to grow in the knowledge of the Word of God, especially as revealed in the Scriptures; to minister to people in their need; to become more Christ-like in our living; to be a caring fellowship of persons; and to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people everywhere.

Parking
Parking for Sunday morning worship is provided in three locations:
1) Handicapped parking is located at the back of the church. The entrance is from Pine Street through our driveway just north of Vermont Federal Credit Union.
2) The main parking lot is immediately south of the church on St Paul Street. Entry is through the 'tunnel' into the lot.
3) Alternate parking is directly across the street from the church entrance on St. Paul Street in the public parking garage. Upon exiting the garage, tell the attendant you went to Sunday service at FBC and there will be no charge.

Empower me
Empower me to be a bold participant, rather than a timid saint in waiting; to exercise authority of honesty, rather than to defer to power or deceive to get it; to influence someone for justice, rather than impress anyone for gain; and by grace, to find treasures of joy, of friendship, of peace hidden in the fields you give me daily to plow.
