Who we are
First Baptist Church Vallejo has been worshiping and serving in Vallejo since 1869.
Just after the Civil War Vallejo was a bustling shipbuilding city at the mouth of the Napa River, and the gateway to the Napa Valley and all points eastward. Today, Vallejo is finding its place in the 21st century as a home for commuters and the locale for colleges, industry, and making movies.
First Baptist Church Vallejo is in the heart of downtown Vallejo. Because Vallejo is one of the most diverse cities in America, we offer vibrant worship services for people who speak English, Spanish, Cantonese, and Mandarin. We open our doors six days a week to serve a hot meal to the hurting and homeless.
We believe we serve Christ best when we serve others.

The way, the truth, and the life
Lord Jesus, thou who art the way, the truth, and the life; hear us as we pray for the truth that shall make all free. Teach us that liberty is not only to be loved but also to be lived. Liberty is too precious a thing to be buried in books. It costs too much to be hoarded. Help us see that our liberty is not the right to do as we please, but the opportunity to please to do what is right.
