Who we are
Doctrinal Statement
Our church has adopted the Baptist Faith and Message of the Southern Baptist Convention (2000) as our statement of faith. Below is a summary of six primary doctrines and what we believe about them.
God
That God exists eternally and that He manifests Himself in three persons . . . God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; II Corinthians 13:14; Psalm 90:2; Genesis 1:1,26; 3:22
Jesus Christ
That Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, was crucified, buried, and rose bodily from the grave, and will come again to this world to reign in righteousness. Luke 1:30‑35; John 14:6; 1 Thessalonians 4:16‑17
Holy Spirit
That a person is baptized with the Holy Spirit into the Body of Christ at the time of conversion, this baptism results in a believer being filled and super naturally empowered for service through spiritual gifts. 1 Corinthians 12:13; Roman 8:9‑17; John 16:7‑13; Ephesians 5:18; Galatians 5:25; John 14:16‑17
Bible
That the Bible is our supreme authority and it is sufficient as our only rule of faith and practice. The Bible is God's Word to us. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is truth without any mixture of error. 2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12; Revelation 22:19; Proverbs 30:5; Psalm 119:105; 160; 2 Peter 1:20, 21
Salvation
That forgiveness, salvation, and new life is made possible by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. This salvation is by grace through faith by the appropriation of the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8‑9; John 14:6; John 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1
Eternity
That there will be a bodily resurrection of the saved to eternal life and a resurrection of the unsaved to eternal punishment in hell. Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. John 3:16; John 5:11-13; John 10:29; Romans 6:23

Leader Bio:
Dan joined the staff in 2022 and serves as our Lead Pastor Pro Tem and Pastor of Adult & Student Ministries. A native of Sacramento he developed his leadership strategy while studying for a Bachelor degree in Christian Leadership from William Jessup University and is currently enrolled in the Masters In Theology program at Gateway Seminary. Together with his beautiful wife, Liz, they manage to wrangle their two healthy and energetic boys, Boaz (5) and Benjamin (2), while maintaining a balanced life of service and compassion. Dan is an avid world history connoisseur, and is captivated by all things Star Wars—even sneaking in a little Disney+ time to binge watch a few episodes of whatever the newest show is. Finally, Dan is a devoted San Francisco 49ers fan, and is crushed by the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime during the 2024 Superbowl. Dan's greatest desire is to see people come and have a saving relationship with Jesus and then learn to serve the Lord in whatever capacity. Bringing praise and Glory to the one who deserves it!

Teach us to serve Thee
Teach us, good Lord, to serve Thee as Thou deservest: To give and not to count the cost; To fight and not to heed the wounds; To toil and not to seek for rest; To labour and not ask for any reward, save that of knowing that we do Thy will.
