Who we are
We are a caring and committed congregation which celebrates God's abundant grace and joyously shares Christ's love. We are generationally, ethnically, and politically diverse but share a common desire to carry on Christ's work. We currently have just over a hundred members, and are proud to be a part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
Worship: We gather for lively traditional worship at 10 o'clock each Sunday morning in our sanctuary. We have a strong tradition of excellent music, featuring pipe organ, piano, and (on particular Sundays) choir, guest musicians, and handbell choir. Though traditional, our worship is not stiff or formal: we are relaxed as we "make a joyful noise to the Lord." Come and worship with us!
We offer a staffed nursery during worship. In the school year, younger children are invited to children’s time, followed by a separate age-appropriate worship experience called “Disciples Treehouse.” Our building is handicap-accessible through the east side entrance. We have ample parking.
Spiritual Growth and Service: We offer Sunday morning classes for adults and children following our worship service from September-June. Children's classes will vary depending on the number and ages of children. We serve our community and our world through a variety of service and mission projects, including the MAC food pantry and Battell School. Our very active Presbyterian Women support local and global mission through fund raising activities and service projects.
Theology: The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is a "big tent" church, which is to say that it includes Christians of a variety of theological perspectives. While similarly diverse, our congregation is generally centrist-to-progressive. We focus on the love and joy of Christ and on the Kingdom of God that Christ initiated. We welcome all who seek to explore or grown in Christian faith, regardless of race, class, or sexual orientation.
Although Presbyterians have a rich theological history, stemming from the “Reformed Tradition” of John Calvin, it is not necessary to subscribe to particular doctrines to be a Presbyterian. One has only to trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and be baptized.
Connections: Presbyterians are part of a "connectional" denomination, and we are pleased to be part of the Presbytery of Wabash Valley and the Synod of Lincoln Trails. We enjoy sending our children to the Presbytery's beautiful summer camp near Rochester, IN, Geneva Center.

Teach me, O God, to use all the circumstances of my life to-day that they may bring forth in me the fruits of holiness rather than the fruits of sin. Let me use disappointment as material for patience: Let me use success as material for thankfulness: Let me use suspence as material for perseverance: Let me use danger as material for courage: Let me use reproach as material for longsuffering: Let me use praise as material for humility: Let me use pleasures as material for temperance: Let me use pains as material for endurance.
