Who we are
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
In joyful response to God’s love, we center our lives in God, through Christ, to address the diverse spiritual needs of people of all ages, especially children, and to reach out and serve the local community.
RECONCILING STATEMENT
Foothills United Methodist Church is a vibrant, inclusive community of believers who welcome everyone as children of God, regardless of age, racial or ethnic background, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital or socioeconomic status, physical or mental ability, or nationality. God loves you and we love you. From this guiding principle we support each other on our collective and individual faith journeys as we minister to one another, the community, and the world. We recognize the varied gifts of the Holy Spirit granted to each of us and encourage all people to pursue their call to leadership, service, and worship through the ministries of our church. Following our Lord Jesus Christ, we proclaim our commitment to the reconciliation of all persons to God and to each other. Adopted February 11, 2018

Prairie Ridge Dinners
On the third Wednesday of every month our church provides a supper, cooked by church members for local residents of Prairie Ridge. On the other Wednesdays, other local churches take their turn of providing suppers. On the Sunday before our Wednesday, the Prairie Ridge coordinators pass out ingredients for the meal to be served on Wednesday. Church members that are able to volunteer sign up to cook a portion of the meal or help with set-up or clean-up. We gather at the Prairie Ridge Community Center. It is rewarding to serve our suppers. Residents really appreciate the opportunity to be together with friends and family for a meal. We in turn have the opportunity to meet the residents of the area. This is not a soup kitchen or free meals to the homeless but rather a free meal offered for Prairie Ridge residents.

Come Lord Jesus!
Lord Jesus, master of both the light and the darkness, send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations for Christmas. We who have so much to do seek quiet spaces to hear your voice each day. We who are anxious over many things look forward to your coming among us. We who are blessed in so many ways long for the complete joy of your kingdom. We whose hearts are heavy seek the joy of your presence. We are your people, walking in darkness, yet seeking the light. To you we say, "Come Lord Jesus!"
