Four Oaks Community Church History
John Kaiser planted Four Oaks Community Church in 1990. What began as a Bible study in the Kaiser's apartment has now grown into a multi-campus church of 1000 people. Erik Braun pastored the church from 2001 to 2012; Paul Gilbert now serves as Lead Pastor over our Killearn and Midtown Campuses.
Four Oaks was largely a mobile church for 20 years, meeting in storefronts, schools and warehouses before purchasing, renovating and moving into the Four Oaks Center in 2010. Our desire in securing a permanent church facility was to have a "home base" from which to more effectively minister to and serve our church community, and to reach our neighbors with the good news of Jesus. We desire to not to be "settlers," but "pioneers," a people who were launched to carry the gospel to the entire city of Tallahassee through our multi-campus model of one church in many locations.
Four Oaks will be celebrating 25 years as a faith family in the spring of 2015, and we are thankful that by God's grace, many lives have been transformed through the power of the gospel. We're grateful for where God has brought us, and we are full of faith and excitement about where he is leading us in the days ahead!

Grant me, O Lord...
Grant me, O Lord, to know what I ought to know,to love what I ought to love, to praise what delights Thee most, to value what is precious in Thy sight, to hate what is offensive to Thee. Do not suffer me to judge according to the sight of my eyes, nor to pass sentence according to the hearing of the ears of ignorant men; but to discern with a true judgment between things visible and spiritual, and above all, always to inquire what is the good pleasure of Thy will.
