Overlooking the lake in Lengby, we gather to worship Jesus each week. We belong to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the NWMN Synod.

Leader Bio:
Pastor John has served as a contract pastor at Fridhem since October 2015. He has served parishes in Lake Andes and Wilmot, SD, Graceville and Ortonville, MN prior to coming to the Fosston/Lengby area. Pr. John also served as an alcohol/drug counselor in Sisseton, SD and Watertown, SD as part of his ministry. He is married to Tammy, who is a music teacher. They have four children: Philip, Maggie, Jack, & Paul. Pr. John enjoys a variety of musical styles (both listening and performing!) and is a licensed amateur radio operator.
Pr. John received his bachelor's degree from Dana College in the areas of speech-theatre and humanities. He attended Wartburg Seminary and received his Master of Divinity. Pr. John graduated from Luther Seminary in 2010 with his Doctor of Ministry in the area of congregation mission and leadership. He was ordained into the holy office of ministry in 1986.
