Who we are
Beliefs
Statement of Faith:
We; the Full Gospel Church, (Assemblies of God) Ipswich, believe in:
1. The divine inspiration, infallibility and authority of the Bible which is the unique, full and final authority on all matters of faith.
2. The unity of the Godhead in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3. The deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His real and perfect manhood. In His death for sinners on the cross, His literal and bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His present exaltation and intercession in heaven on behalf of people.
4. The fall of man, who was created pure and upright, but fell by voluntary transgression.
5. Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, resulting in the changing work of the Holy Spirit in New Birth. Our new life is then motivated by love.
6. Baptism by immersion in water, an outward physical act representing an inward spiritual change. Not essential for salvation, but obedience to the scriptures.
7. The baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues and magnifying God.
8. The operation of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit as the Spirit enables.
9. Deliverance from sickness by divine healing as given by God's grace.
10. Regular attendance at the Breaking of Bread, or Communion, to remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ at Calvary in which our love is expressed in obedience to His command.
11. Holiness of life and conduct for service in obedience to the command of God attained by believers as they submit to the Holy Spirit in preparation for Christ's return.
12. The personal (Physical) return of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is the blessed hope of all believers. The resurrection of the body, the judgement of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ with eternal blessedness for the righteous, and the eternal punishment in hell for those who do not accept Jesus Christ as their only means of salvation.
13. The necessity to nurture my relationship with Christ by conscientious attention to the study of scriptures, by prayer and worship both privately and wherever possible in fellowship with others.
14. The support of the local church in attendance, action and finance.
15. The Biblical pattern for the plurality of Godly leadership appointed by God and submissive to one another in response to the Biblical pattern of leadership, members of the body are taught in scripture to respect and support their leaders, submitting to them in obedience, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account to God. Eph. 4:11-16; Heb. 13:17.
16. Conditions for membership are as set down in scripture and the consititution of the church. Teaching may from time to time be given on the Statement of Faith.

Full Gospel Church Service Times
Our services run from Sunday Morning Family Service (with communion) at 10.45 am, then our Fellowship Service is at 6.30pm, then on to our Pray and Bible Study Group at 7.30pm on Wednesday evenings. We also have a Prayer Group on Thursday’s at 2pm.
During Sunday morning service, we provide a crèche for pre-school children, and also a children and young people’s meeting, which covers bible stories, craft and other activities.
Our main format for our services are open to the leading of the Holy Spirit, but with a programme which encourages a great deal of participation by the individual of the fellowship. Participation in the services by members of the fellowship is encouraged, and the uses of the Gifts of the Spirit are valued. We also encourage those who are sick to come out for Prayer and have seen some wonderful touches of Divine healing in the fellowship.
We like to sing hymns and choruses from many different sources, our worship group is diverse to.
It's been more than 6 years since the last service times update. Please make sure to contact the church to confirm service times.

Full Gospel Church History
The Full Gospel Church came into being under the guidance and leadership of Pastor Clifford Beasley in 1965. He and his wife and Mother and Father came to Ipswich to start a work for God.
In the same year, The Assemblies of God Home Missions sent Pastor David Powel along with Clifford and His wife, they organised meetings in the Arts Theatre in Ipswich and also some meetings were held in Claydon village hall. From these meetings a work was established and a hall was rented from the local C of E church at 692 Old Norwich Road in Whitton, this was in July of 1966.
It was in 1967 on the first anniversary of the church that the very first baptismal service was held, the first of many.
An opportunity to purchase the Hall from the local C of E was given to the member of the Fellowship, and this was done with the help of the Assemblies of God.
A Sunday School was established and grew to around 100 children who lived on the Whitton Est, this was started and lead by Mr and Mrs Beasley Snr.
The Church grew under the ministry Clifford and His wife and new meetings were started to meet different needs. A Tuesday afternoon fellowship meeting along with Midweek Bible Study and Prayer time. Saturday night prayer meetings were also held in the Homes of the belivers.
In 1962 Oct/Nov, our first Wedding took place in the Church.
In 1972 Clifford and His family moved to the Midlands to continue their ministry there, leaving the Fellowship in growth.
From 1972 to 1976 Pastor Cooksey, wife and family came from South Africa.
From 1976 to 1982 Pastor Peter and Margaret Worthington and Family took up the pastorate. It was under His ministry that house group started. The Church grew in number and in blessing. Under His leadership and with the help of the oversight, and extension was planned and carried out in 1982. This was opened by the Mayor of Ipswich, with the first Pastor as the speaker.
In January of 1984 Pastor Ray, Christine Eyre and Family took up the Pastorate and are still holding this position along with the present Oversight. We hope and Pray that the Lord will continue to bless us with souls and with the establishment of a strong and faithful Fellowship.
