Who we are
Tot 1950 was die gebied ten Suide van Pretoria tot by Kemptonpark deel van die Gereformeerde Kerk Pretoria, die kerk in Kerkstraat, Pretoria by baie bekend as Oom Paul se Kerk. Die gemeente het in 1953 afgestig. Die Gereformeerde Kerk Lyttelton was tot 1966 bekend as die Gereformeerde Kerk Pretoria-Suid. Die kerkgebou is deur die argitek Johan de Ridder ontwerp. Deur die jare het die gemeente daarin geslaag om sy plattelandse karakter te behou. Dit is 'n tuiste vir oud en jonk. GK Lyttelton hou gereeld byeenkomste ter uitbouing van die gemeenskap van die gelowiges. Daar is die jaarlikse basaar, die dopperparlement se kamp vir die jong werkendes, die gemeentekamp in September, potjiekos kompetisie in Februarie, die diakens se snoekbraai en die Bybelstudies op Dinsdagoggende en Donderdagaande. Een maal per jaar gaan die Silwerkrone op 'n weeklange wegbreek nam Falon Glen. Dit is 'n geleentheid wat groot belangstelling lok en daar word weke vooraf daaroor gekoukus.
