Glad Tidings Apostolic Assembly is a church rich in the traditions of the Pentecostal Church. We praise enthusiastically, because we rejoice in what the Lord has done for us. We worship joyfully, because we love the Lord, and truly, He is worthy of all honor.
During our worship, you will witness us clapping, singing joyfully, and dancing before the Lord. All of these things are scriptural forms of praise found throughout the book of Psalms. Feel free to join us — you'll be surprised how much better you will feel. But if you are comfortable sitting silently, please feel free to do so.

Glad Tidings Apostolic Assembly History
District Elder Bernard Samuel Kendrick founded Glad Tidings Apostolic Assembly (GTAA) in August 1986. Our history is filled with a steadfast commitment and dedication to the vision and purpose of glorifying God, ministering to the sick and downcast, and uplifting the lives of our members and those in the surrounding community.
Our initial membership included twelve people, who met for bible study in the basement of one of their homes. One of the major trials that GTAA has overcome has been securing a location to worship, and over the years GTAA has held services in several schools throughout the Bolingbrook area. Most impressive is how this ministry has steadily persevered and prospered in the face of many trials and tribulations during our many years of existence.
In August of 2000, GTAA purchased an eight-acre parcel of land on which to build a worship center, elementary school, food and clothing pantry, and computer-learning center. Plans to break ground were delayed due to challenges in securing adequate funding, however in September 2003, GTAA broke ground and began construction on our new sanctuary which opened for services in March 2006.
Currently, GTAA has several different ministries that serve our congregation and our community, and membership is increasing steadily. Our church is well known for our heartfelt worship, our exuberant praise, and an atmosphere of love.

Lord, teach me to listen.
The times are noisy and my ears are weary with the thousand raucous sounds which continuously assault them. Give me the spirit of the boy Samuel when he said to Thee, "Speak, for Thy servant heareth." Let me hear Thee speaking in my heart. Let me get used to the sound of Thy voice, that its tones may be familiar when the sounds of earth die away and the only sound will be the music of Thy speaking. Amen.
