Who we are
Gloria Dei is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. We are in full communion with the Anglican Church of Canada and collaborate with the four North Vancouver Anglican parishes - St. Clement's, St. Agnes, St. John the Evangelist, and St. Catherine's.
We welcome everyone here regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation, regardless of social, economic or relationship status; and regardless of physical, mental, or spiritual condition. We are a "Reconciling in Christ" congregation and connected to Lutherans Concerned - North America.
We seek to live out our faith in the community by supporting local programs such as Harvest Project, Lookout Housing Society and Turning Point Recovery House. Recently we have established a new community garden to support these ministries with fresh food.
Most recently, we are extending a hand of friendship to Ukrainian women through an English Conversation Circle. Our next group will convene in February 2023 for a period of 8 weeks. For more information please contact our pastor, Vida Jaugelis.

By bus: From Park Royal, catch either the 255 Capilano University, or the R2 Phibbs Exchange and get off at Pemberton Avenue and Marine Drive. Go up (north) on Pemberton Ave. and walk through the short, tree lined gravel path to access the HW-1 pedestrian overpass. Take the overpass to Gladwin Drive and turn right, walk east along Gladwin Drive, the church will be on your left. (about a 20 minute walk).
From the Seabus terminal, catch the 236 Grouse Mountain and get off at W. 22 St. and Pemberton Ave. Walk up Pemberton Avenue and walk through the short, tree lined gravel path across the pedestrian bridge to Gladwin Drive (about a 10 min walk).

Parking available in our East Parking Lot off Lloyd Avenue, and also behind our building through the gate on Gladwin Drive.
