The importance of grace to the congregation is a reflection of the words of the apostle Paul to the church in Ephesus:
Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith"”and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God"” 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Living the good news of what God has done in reconciling the world to Himself is a basic commitment. This leads to sharing with others the good news that God is offering forgiveness of sin and eternal life through Jesus Christ. Spiritual life is characterized by trusting our lives to Jesus Christ and loving allegiance to our Savior.
Christ-centred worship, grace-based biblical teaching, intercessory prayer, pastoral nurturing and warm fellowship are important hallmarks of congregational life. Members seek to express the love of God to others through the work of the Holy Spirit in their personal lives. Involvement in local community service projects gives opportunities to serve those less fortunate and for the gospel to be experienced in action.
