A Vision of Grace
What do we believe?
We believe in the Triune God, one God revealed in three persons. We believe in God the Father who created all things and we believe in His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. We rejoice that we can be forgiven and receive eternal life through Jesus who while sinless and without stain, died on the cross for our sins. We believe that we are sustained by God the Holy Spirit who lives among us and guides us. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We believe in one Holy Church. We believe that Jesus Christ is our example and we must seek to live our lives as a reflection of His Grace. We know we must love our Lord with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.
Who are we?
We are a compassionate and loving church, called to bring the Word and Grace of God to our congregation and community.
What are we here for?
The Trinity, God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
Our purpose is to glorify God. We are to exemplify God’s Will through all our thoughts, words and deeds. Everything that we do must be for the Glory of God.
Worship and Praise
We will worship and give praise to God through traditional and contemporary styles of worship that appeal to diverse interests. We will share and celebrate the Word of God with a spirit of invitation and encouragement. We will praise our Lord with joyful music, meaningful sermons and devoted prayer.
Service and Mission
We will serve Christ and Christ’s people by the sacrificial sharing of our gifts, our time and our talents with others in our congregation and community and all nations.
Teach and Grow
We will share the Good News of the Gospel with everyone through worship, Christian education and ministry by example.
Reach Out and Evangelize
We will build bridges to others who may not know God or who have lost touch with God, to bring them hope for salvation through the Word of God.
Fellowship through Joyful, Loving Celebration
We will offer fellowship opportunities to unite us as one body through activities which invite and encourage us to share God’s Love.
Children, a Hope for Tomorrow
Our children and our youth are our future. We must take great care in planning and implementing programs that will teach and mold them to become the church of tomorrow.
A Growing Leadership
We are committed to be leaders of God’s people and will work together to build, expand and enable the leadership team of the church. Every member has a ministry. Every member is a minister.
Using our God-Given Talents
We respect the talents and abilities of each member of the church and seek to utilize these God given attributes to build the church and focus on our vision and those things that unite us in the fellowship of Grace.
What should we become?
As Christians, we are to be examples for others through our thoughts, words and deeds. We must become more like Christ as we learn and grow and spread the Message of God and our love for one another.
How are we able?
With strength from the Holy Spirit and the warmth of God’s Love, we are able to do all things for Christ’s Kingdom. Through unselfish giving of our time and talents, we will lead others to know Christ.

Grace Presbyterian Church History
The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), with denominational offices in Louisville, Kentucky, has approximately 2.4 million members, 11,100 congregations and 14,000 ordained and active ministers.
Presbyterians trace their history to the 16th century and the Protestant Reformation. Our heritage, and much of what we believe, began with John Calvin (1509-1564), whose writings crystallized much of the Reformed thinking that came before him.
