Who we are
We are an independent sovereign grace missionary Baptist Church. We believe in missionary evangelism, both at home and in other areas. We support missionaries, both home missionaries and foreign missionaries. Our Articles of Faith provide an overview of our doctrinal beliefs. Our aim is to provide an atmosphere where people can come together in an environment of friendliness and enjoy sharing the things of Christ, and fellowship with those who love and honor one another and our Lord.
Our church building and fellowship hall are not large but they accommodate members and visitors who come to services each week. There is room for you, so we invite you to join us for any worship service!
We have Sunday Services beginning with Sunday School at 10:00 a.m. and Preaching at 11:00 a.m. We have an interactive Wednesday night prayer service at 6:00 p.m. In those services we major in matters of prayer, sharing prayer needs, prayers answered, and praises to our Lord.
Some weeks, on Sunday, we feature a midday meal together in the fellowship hall with the afternoon services following. Afternoon services can be flexible as to time, based on what time we finish with lunch. Sometimes, we may start a one-hour afternoon services between 1:00 – 1:30 p.m., and sometimes we may begin that service at 2:00 p.m.
Our afternoon services often feature subjects in presentation form that are related to current events as they relate to God’s word and the unfolding of the Lord’s predictions about today’s world.

Leader Bio:
Pastor Bob Myers was born in Jackson, Michigan in 1945. His parents had moved there to work in wartime production. He and his family soon moved back to Kentucky where he attended New Concord Grade School and Murray College High School. He trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior in 1958 and was baptized into the Poplar Spring Baptist Church. He has four brothers and one sister. Both his parents are deceased. He served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam and later finished his tour in Hawaii.
He returned to western Kentucky in 1966 and attended Murray State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree, returning in 1987 to earn a Master’s degree. He and his wife, Diana were married in 1968. He was called by the Lord to the gospel ministry in 1974 while kneeling in prayer in his back yard. In following years he did missionary work in western Kentucky, Dover, Tennessee, Cairo Illinois, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Washington State. He pastored Harmony Missionary Baptist Church from 1982-84. From 1993 through 2018, he was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a Wildlife Biologist in Wildlife Services, stationed in Louisville, Kentucky and later, in Washington, D.C. He retired from Wildlife Services in 2018.
While in Washington, D.C. Pastor and Mrs. Myers conducted a number of outreach projects including ministering and witnessing to the elderly, disabled, and underprivileged, and Pastor Myers preached the gospel at churches and to acquaintances. The Pastor and Diana returned to Benton County, Tennessee to again pastor Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in May, 2006.
Diana (Eldridge) Myers was born in Calloway County, Kentucky where she grew up in a quiet rural atmosphere with four sisters and three brothers. Both of her parents are deceased. Diana attended Almo Elementary School and Calloway County High School. She and Pastor Myers have two adult children and a grand-daughter.
Pastor Myers believes that the Lord has established Harmony Missionary Baptist Church for the express purpose of sharing the joy of the message of Jesus Christ with the Benton County / Camden community and surrounding areas of west Tennessee. He actively seeks opportunity to tell others about the abounding grace of our Lord and the abundant salvation He offers. He sincerely believes that people need to know about the truth of Christ that is able to make them free (John 8:32).
