Who we are
Welcome to Community Church!
A United Methodist Congregation
Whether you are familiar with Community Church or just getting to know our family, this is an exciting time in the life of our church. The worship is lively, the Bible studies are engaging and the opportunities for serving and socializing are abundant.
To really experience what it means to be part of Community Church, we hope you’ll join us at any four weekend services or sometime in between. Guests are always welcome, and we hope you will find inspiring worship, solid Biblical teaching and a friendly, Christ-filled environment.
Our vision
Community Church’s mission is to know follow Jesus and lead others to Him. As a United Methodist congregation, we share a common heritage with all Christians.
What we believe
United Methodists share a common heritage with all Christians. According to our foundational statement of beliefs in The Book of Discipline, we share the following basic affirmations in common with all Christian communities.
We describe God in three persons. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are commonly used to refer to the threefold nature of God. Sometimes we use other terms, such as Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer.

Dress Code
You’ll find some people wearing their Sunday best and some people wearing shorts or jeans—and often they are sitting in the same pew! The bottom line is we care about you, not your clothes. If you’re a sports fan, wear your black and gold, and you’ll fit right in.

Child Care and Toddlers
At Community Church, we love kids! It is our intention to care for them in the best way we can. They are welcome to join you for services, but they might enjoy what we have planned for them even more.
For infants and toddlers, a family room is located adjacent to the sanctuary and is equipped with nursing and changing areas. A fully-staffed childcare room is located in Room 120 for children birth to 3½ years (not potty trained).
For more information, please contact Nursery & Childcare Coordinator Sherry Hoyman at [email protected].
