Out of a deep rooted love for Him and an open heart toward others, we want to actively serve with joy, engaging our church family, our community and our world with the servant heart of Christ himself. (Matthew 22:39)
At every age, we will express a passion for God and a heart for people by being:
Transformed in Christ ……… (Discipleship component) – We commit to pursuing an intentional, growing relationship with Christ, one leading to transformation in both character and conduct. (II Corinthians 5:17)
Empowered by Christ ……… (Equipping component) – God-reliant and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit to being equipped, so that we might serve others with our Spiritual Giftedness, Skills, Personality, Passions, and Resources. (II Timothy 1:7; Hebrews 13:20-21)

Pastor Wayne Melnechuk is a M.Div. graduate from Tyndale and has been pastoring for over 15 Years. Wayne has a heart for Discipleship and is a Certified Spiritual Director. He has a passion for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and serving in God’s church. Wayne is an avid musician and plays guitar, bass, and drums in the Worship Team. Wayne has been married to Jennifer for 23 years and has 3 lovely daughters, Julia, Saphara, and Charlotte. Wayne’s family loves cottaging, boating and going on mission trips together.

We want to be great neighbours so each week please remember not to park at the Plaza beside us . It is only for their customers.
There is extra parking across the street at Woodhall. We are very thankful for this extra space to park but please park in the middle section so they have access to their front doors.
Additional Parking when needed is also available at Notre Dame school.

Heart Lake Baptist Church History
Our church was founded in 1977 as an extension of First Baptist Church, Brampton and as a church plant of the Baptist Convention of Ontario & Quebec (B.C.O.Q.) and the Guelph Association of Baptist Churches. We are affiliated as a member church with Canadian Baptists of Ontario & Quebec (CBOQ) and are part of the Toronto Association. Together we seek to engage in vibrant worship, meaningful fellowship, growth through study, and expressing our gifts and talents through service and mission as a community of Christ followers.
