Holy Cross Lutheran Church is a worshiping community of families and individuals located in the far northwest Chicago suburb of Cary, Illinois. We are a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Holy Cross celebrated 100 years of God’s blessings in 2011.
Holy Cross stands in the Lutheran heritage dating to the sixteenth century and the church reforms introduced by Martin Luther. The central defining teaching of the Lutheran Church is that God’s people, disconnected from Him by sin, are re-connected to Him by his grace solely through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. This central teaching is supported by three Reformation understandings: grace alone (this is all God’s doing), faith alone (faith alone saves, though faith is never alone), and Scripture alone (God’s revealed word is the final rule and norm for Christian teaching).

Leader Bio:
Pastor Meyer has a Master's of Divinity from Concordia, Fort Wayne, and has been a Pastor since 1981. He was called to serve Holy Cross as our Intentional Interim Senior Pastor in November 2020. He has been married to his wonderful wife, Sue, for 41 years and has been blessed with 3 children Anna, Rachel, and Timothy and 6 grandchildren. Glenn loves the Lord, has a Pastoral Heart, and gets along with anyone. He is able to see opportunities & has ideas for ministry where others may only see problems. He enjoys swimming, getting out and walking, gardening, landscaping, playing cards, and being with family.

Parking
1. Traditional Service - The main parking is behind the church off of 1st Street. Follow the walking path from the back parking lot to enter the Sanctuary. Handicapped Parking is available in the circle drive off of Three Oaks Road in the front of the building (North) by the main doors of the Sanctuary.
2. Contemporary Service - The parking for this serviced is also behind the church off of 1st Street. The entrance to the L.O.F.T. where this service is held is on the West end. Handicap parking is also available near the doors on the West side of the parking lot.

Kids For Christ is a ministry that serves kids from 3rd grade - 6th grade. We create a fun social environment for kids to learn about Jesus, His love for us and His saving grace .
We're excited to welcome new kids to the program. We are also always looking for volunteers to help serve in this wonderful ministry.

Lord, teach me to listen.
The times are noisy and my ears are weary with the thousand raucous sounds which continuously assault them. Give me the spirit of the boy Samuel when he said to Thee, "Speak, for Thy servant heareth." Let me hear Thee speaking in my heart. Let me get used to the sound of Thy voice, that its tones may be familiar when the sounds of earth die away and the only sound will be the music of Thy speaking. Amen.
