Who we are
Welcome to Holy Trinity Cathedral, the spiritual centre and focus for the Anglican Diocese of Auckland and a significant place of gathering for the people of Auckland, the wider region and Aotearoa New Zealand. As a place of worship, gathering, the arts and learning, we are community of people who celebrate the love of God for all. Out of that love we are committed to offering a warm welcome, to being creative in worship, to nourishing community, both local and beyond, and to encouraging each other in Christian service in our daily life and work.
Our Cathedral is in the midst of a very significant journey, Selwyn's Vision, the project to complete and consecrate Holy Trinity Cathedral. The Bishop Selwyn Chapel is progressing well and will be complete early in 2016. The Cathedral organ is being built at Nicholson & Co. in Malvern in the UK and we look forward to the installation of the first half between May and October 2016. During this winter planting will also begin to complete the redevelopment of St Mary's Court, adjacent to Parnell Road. We look forward to the re-creation of a new Brewer Memorial Garden, the completion of lighting and the installation of bollards which will further assist our managing of pedestrian and vehicular movement. Check out the blog for latest pictures! All this work will culminate in a celebration of consecration late in 2017. The focus of those celebrations will be on our consecration to mission. This journey of completion has as its heart a commitment to our better serving our Diocese, the communities of Auckland and our nation.
At the heart of our community's life is our worship. Details of Services times, together with the music, adult education and a wide variety of community activities here at the Cathedral are all on the website. You are very welcome here and we look forward to welcoming you.
Blessings, The Very Reverend Jo Kelly-Moore Dean
