Holy Trinity Service Times
Sunday
Morning Praise
Every first Sunday at 11:15 AM for 1 hour
Parish Communion
Our monthly Parish Communion service usually uses a modern language form of Common Worhsip. It is sung with hymns and with uses "A Simple Setting" of well known folk and hymn tunes for the sung parts of the liturgy. At the end of the service we enjoy a glass of sherry together and catch up with each others's news. Everyone is very welcome. We always welcome children and adapt the sermon to make the service more family orientated. During Lent, Advent and on REmembrance Sunday we use the Book of Common Prayer Communion service.
Every second Sunday at 11:15 AM for 1 hour
Thursday
Celtic Service
Our Celtic service draws upon material from the Christian Celtic church both ancient and modern. We explore various aspects of Celtic Christian spirituality with particular emphasis on welcome and hospitality. We are concerned with God's world and all that is in it - so we particularly include themes of creation and social justice. We begin at 6.30 pm with hospitality for everyone - usually sandwiches, cake and tea or coffee - so people can come straight from a day at work if needed and still be fed, and move into worhsip at 7 pm. The service sometimes includes holy communion.
Every third Thursday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour
Taize Worship
A quietly beautiful, contemplative service based on the short songs or "chants" from the French community of Taize. The songs are sung several times over as the words sink from head to heart. The service includes a 10 minute period of silence for meditation as well as space for personal prayer and intercession. The service is candle lit winter and summer.
Every first Thursday at 7:00 PM for 1 hour
