Who we are
Welcome to Hope Chapel. We are an assembly of Christians who have found a certain hope in Jesus Christ, by God’s mercy, and on the grounds of Christ’s death and resurrection. The Bible puts it like this:
‘But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; whigh he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.’ [Titus 3:4-7]
Although our backgrounds, ethnicities, political views or social status may differ, none of this matters to the Christian, for none of this has any bearing upon our salvation, and entrance into God’s church. It is all of God’s grace.
‘For by grace you are saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.’ [Ephesians 2:8,9]
Hence, we are united by our faith in Jesus Christ; by our love for Him as the only Saviour; and by our acceptance of Him as Lord.
Further, because our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is central to who we are, it is no surprise that He is central to what we do, individually and as a church. We want to be devoted to Christ above all else, and live in simple obedience to His Word. We believe and have proved that this is the path of blessing in all our lives.
We don’t want to keep this great blessing to ourselves, but want to share the love of Christ our Saviour with you. If there is anyway we can be of help … If you have a specific prayer request … If you have a concern, a question or would just like to chat … please let us know through the contact page, or just pop in to any of the meetings or whenever you see the hall open.
May the Lord bless you.

Teach us, good Lord, to serve Thee more faithfully; to give and not to count the cost; to fight and not to heed the wounds; to toil and not to seek for rest; to labour and not to ask for any reward, save that of knowing that we do Thy will, O Lord our God.
