Who we are
Who we are
Spend some time with us and you’ll find a diverse group of people with a common heart. Communities of Hope is a family of people who are passionate about Jesus and serious about living authentic lives together. Being “real” with one another about life is probably our greatest attribute. We are a family who has found real hope—hope to overcome and press through the troubles and trials of life, to gaze on the beauty of our King and pour out what we see to others in a way that changes things. The children in our midst are many, and we count that a blessing!
If you know a few “Christianese” words… some might say we are lightly charismatic—we just believe God is God and you can’t put Him in a box. Some might say we are contemporary or post modern—we just hunger for more of God and seek to know Him and hear what He has to say. Some might say we are missional—we just want to embrace daily what He wants to do in our hearts, our families, our communities, nation and world. Some might say our worship is emergent—we just love to respond to Him and worship Him together with freedom and abandon.

Hope Community Church Service Times
We meet most frequently week-to-week in three different Hope Groups across Hampton Roads. Two meet on Sundays and one meets on Mondays.
We also gather the whole church together on the second Saturday of each month at 5:00pm for an evening that typically includes a shared meal, worship, teaching, children’s discipleship, testimonies and encouragement. That gathering is at the Peninsula Baptist Association center at 863 Cloverleaf Lane in Newport News, near the J. Clyde Morris / I-64 interchange
It's been more than 8 years since the last service times update. Please make sure to contact the church to confirm service times.
