Who we are
Hope Lutheran has a long tradition of outreach and service to its members and the community. We strive to recognize and nurture the Christ in ourselves and each person that we encounter along the way. Our church is a thriving community of believers, a place to meet new friends, where your family is supported and encouraged. You can come as you are, no matter where you come from, what you're facing, or where you are on your spiritual journey. We hope you will join us for worship and experience for yourself the presence of God in this place.
OUR MISSION
We believe that God calls us as a church to live out two key scriptures:
The Great Commandment: "Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all you soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. and a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.'" Matthew 22:37-40
The Great Commission: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19-20
OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES
Welcoming, Worshipping, Serving
We know Jesus is Lord and Savior
We witness to the power of the risen Christ
We gather to worship and praise God in word and sacrament
We respond to God's generosity with our offering of money, tIme and talent
We grow in faith through worship, study, witness and service
We accept change through God's grace
We gracefully respect, honor and support all individuals in their life's journey
We support local, world-wide and ELCA ministries

Leader Bio:
I grew up in small town Minnesota and have spent seasons of life as a youth minister, working construction, a basketball coach, a teacher, doing campus ministry, and as an Ordained Minister.
I love being a Pastor and I am excited to do ministry with the people of Hope. It is a privilege to get to proclaim the Good News and to be invited into the sacred spaces of people’s lives. I truly enjoy sharing the story of God’s love as well as hearing the stories of God’s people. The Church has a truly unique niche in the world to create something every human longs for, community. My sense is that Hope excels at creating community and I’m looking forward to being a part of it.
In my spare time I love the outdoors, fishing, hunting and recently have become an obsessed Muskie fisherman. I also enjoy reading, movies and love the game of basketball. I have three beautiful adult daughters, Madeline 26, Annie 23, Lilly 21 and have one sweet little nugget of a granddaughter named Lola who has stolen my heart. I am looking forward to doing life with you wonderful folks.

Open our ears.
Blessed Lord, open our ears to hear what Thou speakest and our eyes to see as Thou seest. Give us hearts to beat in sympathy with Thine at the sight of every little child; and above all, our Lord, to understand and experience how surely and how blessedly Thou fulfilest Thy promise, "Whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me."
