Who we are
One church. Three locations + online.
Each Immanuel Baptist Church congregation is a distinct local community in the greater Lexington, Kentucky area. They vary in size, demographics, and cultural aesthetics. Each has its own story, its own leadership, and its own ministries. In deciding which congregation to join, we encourage you to start by visiting the one closest to you. Online church is a great option if you're not local or if you aren't able to attend church on Sunday but we don't recommend it as your sole source of community.
Our Mission
Immanuel Baptist Church exists to lead people to Jesus and equip disciples in their faith. Jesus calls us to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Our Vision
The vision of Immanuel Baptist Church is to create a community of authentic believers and to witness a city transformed by the life-changing reality of the gospel as people come to know and follow Jesus.
Our Strategy
GATHER - We create opportunities for people to come together for fellowship, unity and worship.
GROW - In smaller groups, we encourage deeper fellowship, the study of the Bible and disciple-making.
SERVE - As we grow in our relationship to Christ, we serve others in our church, community and world so we may boldly share the good news of the Gospel.

Leader Bio:
Since leaving Immanuel in 2018, Ron has maintained a positive relationship with Immanuel, its members, the city of Lexington and the region as a whole. Over the last 4 years, he has continued to serve in multiple high capacity leadership roles throughout the country. As CEO of Leadership Network in Dallas, TX, Ron led this organization that convenes innovative leaders and churches in collaborative conversations to accelerate growth and innovation. He also worked with various churches throughout the southeast in revitalization and leadership transitions, all the while continuing to coach and consult businesses and business leaders around the country.
Ron feels strongly that the local church should be the catalyst for the betterment of the community. This happens when the church is engaged in community needs, active in building strong partnerships with local organizations, and leading out in serving the region as a whole. During his previous ministry time in Lexington, Ron served on the Salvation Army Advisory Board, completed both Leadership Lexington and Leadership Central Kentucky, served on the Fayette County Schools Superintendent Search Committee and was active in many other community events and activities.
