"For many years I had wondered why I didn't accept church as a part of my life. Every now and then I would tag along with a frined to their church where I felt comfortable. At Incarnation, I have found an inner peace that I never really knew." M.W.

Incarnation Lutheran Church History
In 1996, Incarnation Lutheran Church was a congregation which had seemingly reached the end of its long decline. There were few ministries, and worship was attended by fewer than a dozen people, none of whom were children. But there was persistence among those few worshipers, which attracted the support of the Reading Lutheran Parish (RLP), a partnership of Lutheran Churches in the city of Reading. Under the guidance of the RLP, Incarnation experienced a variety of worship leaders and styles, strengthened their lay leadership, and grew....
In January 1999, The Northeastern Pennsylvania, Synod appointed The Rev. Kim Lengert to serve as pastor of Incarnation, with an emphasis on redevelopment of the congregation. Since that time, the congregation has clarified its vision and mission--and acted upon them!
Incarnation is now in the process of beginning it's third weekly worship service, seeking to respond to the spiritual needs of its community. Children are ever-present, accompanied by the young adults who now call Incarnation members their "family". For many, Incarnation is their very first church home. Incarnation is still growing- Growing in family, and growing in faith!
