Who we are
Jersey Baptist Church, or JBC as we tend to call ourselves, is a church made up of people from all walks of life and from different nations. We love to see new people and are confident that you will feel right at home. We have two services on a Sunday, each lasting just over an hour, one at 10.30am and one at 6.00pm. A typical Sunday morning service begins with praise in song, prayer and a family time before the young people leave us to go to their groups in the hall upstairs (we have groups for babies through to teens) then we focus on listening to and understanding God's Word, as found in the bible. After the morning service there is tea, coffee and biscuits available and a time to chat. In the evening we meet at 6.00pm for a time of prayer, praise and another opportunity to listen to God's teaching.
JBC is an evangelical church, which means we want to share the good news of Jesus with our friends and community. We are linked to the Jersey Evangelical Alliance (JEA) and are a member of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC).
As well as our Sunday Services we have other things going on throughout the week -
Sunbeams (our mums and tots group) meet on Tuesday mornings from 9.30am till 11.30am during school term-time, Homegroups meet on Tuesday evenings and Thursday during the day, Badminton on Thursday evenings, Fortnightly afternoon teas on a Friday.

Love me, Lord, just for today
Lord, for tomorrow and its needs, I do not pray; Keep me, my God, from stain of sin just for today. Let me both diligently work, And duly pray. Let me be kind in word and deed, Just for today. Let me be slow to do my will, Prompt to obey; Help me to sacrifice myself Just for today. And if today my tide of life should ebb away, Give me thy sacraments divine, Sweet Lord today.
