Who we are
In The Beginning
Bridge of Hope Church was birthed on Sunday, September 8, 1996 under the leadership of Pastor David and Grace Asante. The first service was held at Highland Heights Middle School auditorium in East Nashville. 89 people attended with half of them being invited guests and the rest were people who had come to know the Lord through our tent crusade on Dickerson Road in East Nashville the previous month. The majority of them were drug addicts, prostitutes, and the homeless. Services were held here for two years until Bro. Jackson (TN District Superintendant of Assembly of God), merged the Joywood congregation with Bridge of Hope's on September 27, 1998.
Our Vision
Our vision at BOH is to minister to people and win them to Christ, along with providing discipleship, development and equipping them into ministry.
Our Mission
Our mission is to use the resources given to us by God for the various outreach ministries. We desire to provide hope for the hopeless, food for the hungry, clothes for the naked, and healing to the physically and mentally distressed. We strive to reach out to the poor, lost and hurting to lead them to deliverance and effectively see God change their lives.

Homeless Ministry
Bridge of Hope is an urban church strategically located in downtown Nashville. It provides services and ministry to those who have "slipped through the cracks" of traditional services.
We feed between 80 to 100 homeless people every week. On Sunday mornings, we send two vans to downtown Nashville and pickup whoever wants to come to church. We feed them breakfast, then feed them the word in Sunday School, let them experience the holy spirit in our Sunday morning service, then provide them with a sack lunch when we take them back in the afternoons.
On Wednesday mornings, we take the vans and go to two destinations to pickup anyone who wants to come back to our church. Our first stop is at the Nashville Rescue Mission and our second stop is a homeless shelter called Room at the Inn. We then bring them back to the church and provide them with a hot meal cooked southern style. We then feed them the word of God through Pastor Asante.
