Judah Christian Community is one of the most ethnically diverse churches in America. The Scripture says in Psalm 13:3, "How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity." At Judah Christian Community, cultural, ethnic, generational and racial identities are not discarded but celebrated. To describe Pastor Gerald L. Rice as your everyday Pastor is an understatement to say the least. His ability to simply state and bring understanding to the Bible has established him as a great teacher and leader in the community, the nation, and the world.
His life has been unusual in that he lived overseas as a teenager, and later on, worked overseas in the business world. This course was filled with unique opportunities that he believes have all helped to prepare him for his current calling as Senior Pastor of Judah Christian Community, a church that welcomes people from all nations and backgrounds.
Pastor Rice accepted God's call to ministry over 20 years ago and has never looked back. He is a gifted teacher and preacher who has had the opportunity to speak nationally in Hawaii, Illinois, Florida, Pennsylvania, and internationally in Thailand, England, the Czech Republic, Kenya, Ukraine, and the Philippine Islands. He has developed and taught a detailed 12-week course designed to help prepare and equip those who feel they have been called to teach or preach. He also, along with his wife Eileen Rice, has developed and teaches an 8-12 week marriage class he has entitled 'Happily Ever After'. The testimonies that have come in from the couples who have participated in the class have been both heartfelt and inspiring.
Pastor Rice serves on the board of directors of Crossfire International, a youth and young adult ministry which has been established in over 12 countries worldwide.
Judah Christian Community is a multicultural church, based in Columbus, Ohio. This church was 'birthed' by God through the merging of two seemingly different churches, Judah Christian Ministries, a predominantly African American church, and Christian Community Church East, a predominantly Caucasian church. Together, they are fulfilling the vision of “Saving the Lost and Healing the Saved.”

Judah Christian Community Church History
The Lord in His infinite wisdom placed a vision in two pastors of two churches. Pastor Doug Duble of Christian Community Church - East had been given the vision of a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic church that would include all nationalities. Christian Community Church East was a predominately white congregation. At the same time, the Lord was giving the same vision to Pastor Gerald L. Rice of Judah Christian Ministries, a predominately black congregation.
The Lord brought Pastor Duble and Pastor Rice together and it became evident that they had the same vision. The Lord had brought them together to create one ministry out of two churches. This expression of God's love and wisdom is the new Judah Christian Community.
