Who we are
JustinUMC celebrates over 125 years of service to our community here in Justin, as well as Denton County, as we continue to serve Jesus Christ, our risen Lord. At JustinUMC, we celebrate the experiences, strength and hopes that we share with our original founders and members, as well as current members, for a blessed fellowship and true spiritual home for our families and community.
We are fortunate at JustinUMC to experience the growth in our church that is also occurring in North Texas and we are grateful for the way the Holy Spirit is moving and increasing our congregation. Each of us at JustinUMC looks forward to a joyful future, with a growing spiritual community and its members, as our church expansion continues.
In recognition of the various ways that each of us can communicate with God, we offer several opportunities to learn more about God and develop a closer relationship with Him, through our Sunday services and worship, Bible study, prayer, and fellowship throughout the week. We take Jesus’ great commission to make Disciples of Christ quite seriously, and as a prospective member, you will easily find a place where you can administer best as Christ’s hands and feet, through our services, weekly activities, and ongoing service work in the community.
We welcome the opportunity to know you better. By getting to know you and your family, we have opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Christ, to serve the children of God, and create a spiritual home for us all.

I want to know Thee
Father, I want to know Thee, but my coward heart fears to give up its toys. I cannot part with them without inward bleeding, and I do not try to hide from Thee the terror of the parting. I come trembling, but I do come. Please root from my heart all those things which I have cherished so long and which have become a very part of my living self, so that Thou mayest enter and dwell there without a rival. Then shalt Thou make the place of Thy feet glorious. Then shall my heart have no need of the sun to shine in it, for Thyself wilt be the light of it, and there shall be no night there. In Jesus Name, Amen.
