Who we are
We are a group of Christians that meet at the Gospel Hall in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. Every member of this local assembly has personally received Jesus Christ as their Lord and followed him in baptism. While we are anything but perfect, we strive in all ways to be led by the Bible in our daily lives and as a congregation. Our meetings are simple and focused on knowing Christ more deeply every day. We'd love to meet you. More importantly, we'd love for you to meet Christ: nothing can be more life-transforming.

Kirkland Lake Gospel Hall History
We are Christians who meet regularly as a local church at 521 Government Road West. We call the building a Gospel Hall because one of our primary interests is to carry out our Lord’s commission in Mathew 28:19, 20. That is, to preach the gospel, then to baptize and teach believers to observe all things commanded by the Lord.
For over 60 years Christians have met in the Kirkland Lake Gospel Hall to practice this teaching. We firmly embrace the faith which was once delivered by the Lord and His apostles, believing that the Bible is verbally inspired by God, Himself, and is worthy of being our only creed, as well as infallible guide. We have a deep commitment to Biblical Christianity. We gather as an assembly in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, claiming His promise that He is in the midst (Mathew 18:20). We have no denominational affiliation and are self-supported. We do not have a visible, earthly head, nor do we have a central headquarters. We are solely responsible to Christ, who is the risen Head of the church.
The gospel we preach is that "Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, that He was buried and that He rose again the third day, according to the Scriptures" (1 Corinthians 15:3,4). We believe that there must be a personal experience of discovering our guiltiness before God as sinners and accepting Christ as our personal Saviour and Lord. All are welcome to observe our service. No public collections are taken, and no appeals are ever made for funds or pledges. We do not have an “altar call.”
It is our desire to have a warm and spiritual atmosphere in which the entire family may find encouragement, growth, and lasting satisfaction, as promised in the Bible. We place great importance on the family structure. The future of our children is vital to us, and we are not content only with their good health and education, but desire that they have spiritual guidance and training. We invite you to come to our Sunday School and bring your children. There are classes for all ages, where happy, dedicated teachers give Bible lessons suitable to each age group. Parents will find a warm acceptance and clear teaching in the adult Bible Reading.
