Knox Presbyterian Church History
Knox Presbyterian Church (Havelock, Ont.) was established in 1885 as the Pinegrove Church, Belmont. By 1888, the congregation had left Pinegrove Church and had built a new church called Knox Presbyterian Church (Havelock, Ont.). The Rev. Hugh Brown was the first minister to be inducted to Knox. His ministry began in 1891. During the time of Church Union in 1925, Knox Presbyterian chose to remain with The Presbyterian Church in Canada. In 1937, Knox was united as a three point charge with the congregations at Hastings and Norwood. Hastings withdrew from this union in 1948.

Lord, teach me to listen.
The times are noisy and my ears are weary with the thousand raucous sounds which continuously assault them. Give me the spirit of the boy Samuel when he said to Thee, "Speak, for Thy servant heareth." Let me hear Thee speaking in my heart. Let me get used to the sound of Thy voice, that its tones may be familiar when the sounds of earth die away and the only sound will be the music of Thy speaking. Amen.
