Who we are
We Believe
1. We believe the entire Bible is inspired by God, without error, and the authority on which we base our faith, conduct and doctrine. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 12:6)
2. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God and born of a Virgin. (Matthew 1:18,20,23)
3. We believe that we are all sinners and in need of salvation. (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23)
4. We believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven. We cannot gain salvation any other way such as religion, philosophy, or good works. Salvation only comes through the cross of Christ. (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:18-20)
5. We believe that Jesus was crucified, resurrected on the third day, ascended into heaven where he sits at the right hand of God the Father, and will return for his people. (John 19:17-18; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Hebrews 12:2)
6. We believe that we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. All who have repented and accepted Christ will be granted eternal life in heaven. Those who have not received Christ as savior will face eternal death in hell. (2 Corinthians 5:10)
7. We believe that God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1; John 1:3; Colossians 1:16)
8. We believe in the Trinity. One God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are all equally God, but take on different forms. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; 2 Corinthians 3:17)
9. We believe in the sanctity of life. Abortion is not part of God’s plan. (Psalm 139:13-16; Deuteronomy 5:17)
10. We believe that God calls us to live at peace with each other, both personally and as a nation. (Romans 12:17-21; Hebrews 12:14)
11. We believe in Believers baptism. It is a person’s choice to be baptized after realizing, and repenting of his sins. Water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and an outward testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 2:38; 1 Peter 3:21)
12. We believe that marriage is between one man and one woman for life. Homosexuality, divorce and sex outside of marriage are against God’s plan. (Matthew 19:5-6; Hebrews 13:4; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9)
13. We believe that Christ has commanded us to forgive others as he forgave us. (Matthew 6:14-15; Matthew 18:21-35)
14. We believe in the regular taking of Communion in remembrance of what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross. (Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

Living Hope Community Church History
Established September 15, 1901. Boynton Mennonite Church began as a small congregation on an acre of land in Boynton township. September 14, 1902 Boynton dedicated its new building to service for the Lord.
In 1967 the congregation voted to build a new church in the village of Hopedale. The first worship service was held on July 19, 1970. The building was dedicated on September 20, 1970. In September 1980 a church spire and sign were dedicated. An enclosed entrance and an elevator with an entry were added as the church began to "build up". On June 13th 2004 the church broke ground for an new sanctuary and fellowship hall attached to the existing building. In July of 2006 Boynton held the first Sunday morning service in the new sanctuary.
For many years the congregation has partnered with the Hopedale Mennonite Church in Vacation Bible School, Mennonite Youth Fellowship, as well as many other activities. In September 2001, Boynton celebrated 100 years of service to the Lord. We are hopeful that the next 100 years are full of growth and service to the Lord.
