Who we are
Six Passions of Our Church
A Passion for God A Passion for God's Word A Passion for Worship and Prayer A Passion for the Gospel A Passion for People A Passion for Service
We value each of these passions highly because we are serious about learning to live passionately for and like Jesus.
These six passions are linked together like pearls in a necklace and all of them flow from the first, our passion for God. Passion for God drives and inflames each of the others. We love God and therefore we love His word. We love to study it and seek to live by it in every aspect of life. It is the reason why we preach the Bible expositorily and why it is the backbone of every home-group. Worship and prayer are not just passions or goals but they are the means, along with the word of God, to becoming what God calls us to be.
Our Passion for the gospel, people, and service are one. Because we love God we must love our neighbor as ourselves which means we must proclaim the good news of the gospel and serve them with sacrificial and tangible expressions of love, mercy, and justice.

Leader Bio:
Marty and Stephnie were married in 1984, while on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ (now CRU). Their first 7 years of marriage were spent in San Bernardino, CA where Marty served at the International School of Theology and Stephnie served the Campus ministry and the personnel department. Marty had an administrative post but gradually worked on a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry and then a Master of Divinity in Exposition and Teaching and began to lecture at the Seminary. In 1990, Marty was called as a church planter to plant “a multi-ethnic church planting church” in the suburbs of Chicago. Over the next 20 years, New Song Church became a church of 23 countries of birth, planted seven churches and grew to about 650 regular attenders. In 2008, Marty left New Song to work as a district church-planting consultant. In 2012, he became the pastor of a multi-site church in rural Watseka, IL. And in 2016, Marty left there to become our pastor at Manchester Creek. Marty serves as our primary teacher, vision caster and one-to-one discipleship coordinator. Marty and Stephnie have three children, Meredith Aldrin (husband, Dan), lives in Illinois and serves as the children’s ministry coordinator at a church there. She and Dan have two children. Marty III (wife, Anna) works for InterVarsity Press and is an aspiring writer with three books published so far. Aubre, their second daughter, lives in Illinois as well and currently works for Starbucks.

God's Promise
Jesus gave His life so that you do not have to carry your burden. He knows this burden hinders you from having eternal life. He knows your sin burden hinders you from living the abundant life that God created you to live. He knows your sin hinders you from experiencing joy and peace that has no bounds and hinders you from receiving all that God has promised and created you to receive.
You just have to ask.
