Metropolitan Bible Church is a church that has been a lighthouse in Ottawa for 82 years. For 77 of those years we met on Bank Street. The Great Depression held the world in its dark grip when a group of about 100 people came together to begin a new gathering of Christ-followers in the heart of Ottawa. On Sunday, September 13, 1931 the first worship service was held in a rented hall at Bank at Waverly Street. Then in 1936, the inaugural service in the new building at 453 Bank Street was held.
The church grew quickly, and by the 1990’s the pressure on space for children and adults in the facility made it no longer safe or workable to continue to meet there, and the search for land to construct a new facility began. In the goodness of God, He provided 8 acres of land in the new geographical and demographic centre of the city at Prince of Wales and Hunt Club Road. Our first meeting was held in the new facility on August 3, 2008.

Parking
The MET is pleased to provide ample free parking at our church. You may access our parking lot from a number of entrances off of Prince of Wales Drive, Deakin Street, and Auriga Drive.
For additional parking, we have several overflow lots that can be used on Sunday mornings which are also free. They are located at:
Hunt Club Business Park, on MacFarlane Road, off Deakin Street.
