Who we are
Mt Albert Baptist is ‘your place.’ We’re a "Come As You Are" Church, meaning that everyone is welcome just as they are. After all, that’s the way God accepts us.
We also help people, wherever they are on the journey, to become followers of Jesus. We reflect our values in the four arrows of our logo:
We’re a place to worship (‘upward’). We believe that God is the supreme audience on Sundays and throughout our lives. We want to express fresh appreciation to Him for what he has done and continues to do in our lives.
It’s a place to grow (‘inward’). We want to be transformed into the individuals and community that God dreams for us. We provide tools, programs and mentoring opportunities to help people take continual next steps in their life.
It’s a place to connect (‘withward’). We believe that life change happens as we do life together. We love being a multi-cultural and multi-generational church. As we continue to grow as a church, we want to stay small via our small groups (called Life Groups).
It’s a place to make a difference (‘outward’). We are not consumers of a spiritual product. Rather, God invites us to participate in His mission in the world by serving, giving, and engaging with the world around us so that others can enjoy the wonder of grace. Annually, we serve our local community through events such as School Makeover and Christmas in Rocket Park, and our Couples Café. We also have strategic partnerships to make a difference globally.
Whatever your age, background, culture . . . we invite you to come as you are. This is your place!

Teach me
Teach me, O God, to use all the circumstances of my life to-day that they may bring forth in me the fruits of holiness rather than the fruits of sin. Let me use disappointment as material for patience: Let me use success as material for thankfulness: Let me use suspence as material for perseverance: Let me use danger as material for courage: Let me use reproach as material for longsuffering: Let me use praise as material for humility: Let me use pleasures as material for temperance: Let me use pains as material for endurance.
