Who we are
Our Vision and Values
We are a Spirit-filled, evangelical congregation giving the world hope in Christ through biblical teaching, Christ-centered worship and people-oriented ministry. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace, as you trust in him, and may you overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Rom 15:13).
The mission of the church is to: “Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20). Our ministry vision is guided by five biblical core values based on the ministry of Jesus:
1. Evangelism: To lead persons into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ: “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost” (Luke 19:10).
2. Edification: To help persons grow in their relationship with Christ. Then He said to them all: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me” (Luke 9:23).
3. Equipping: To train believers in biblical leadership as they minister in the church and in the community. “These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: ‘Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give’” (Matt 10:8).
4. Encouragement: To provide an environment where the power of God brings wholeness to the total person – spirit, mind and body. “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor” (Luke 4:18, 19).
5. Excellence: To bring glory to God by developing and maintaining the highest standards of ministry in all we do. Jesus prayed, “I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do” (John 17:4).
Jude 1:24 - Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.
