Leader Bio:
Our Pastor, Silas Leno was born in a Christian family in Guinea. His father and mother served as pastor in this country. Pastor Leno received Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord at ten-year-old and was baptized at sixteen-year-old. Pastor Leno pursued studies in a number of postsecondary and university institutions, including the Institut Biblique Telekoro (Guinea), Langenbruck Institute (Switzerland), Faculty of Theology (Acadia University), and the Faculty of Education (Université de Montréal and Saint Paul University, Canada):
✓ Licentiate in practical theology
✓ Honours degree in Christian education
✓ Bachelor’s degree in systematic theology
✓ Master’s degree in systematic and historical theology
✓ Master’s degree in psychopedagogy and andragogy
✓ PhD (doctorate) under way.
Born into a pastoral family and converted at the age of 10, Pastor Leno was set apart by the Lord of heaven and earth to advance the spread of His glory. He first served as director of various choirs before going to take his initial training at the Institut biblique Télékoro. Another highlight of this part of his career was being co-founder and principal of the Christian schools of Guinea. In Canada, he combined his activities in the Lord’s ministry with the position of principal of a language school. He also founded the International Convention for Christian Education (ICCE) as well as the New Nation Christian Centre, with its concept of the educational church.
As Senior Pastor, he works closely with the board of directors of the NNCCO, including before and after the event. He is responsible for keeping the Centre running smoothly as an organization and for supervision of the pastoral team, the women’s ministry, the lay ministry and the planning of celebrations. Pastor Silas Leno is married to Rachel, and the Lord has blessed them with five children (Ruth, Moise, Dorcas, Michel-Gérard and Ezechiel Mendenkila). The couple has been serving the Lord for more than 30 years. Pastor Silas invites you to join them for the glory of God.

CHILDRENS MINISTRY
At New Nation Christian Centre, we value children greatly. We see children as a blessing from God and not a burden. It is our desire to partner with you in the Christian formation of children and families. We value and support the leadership roles of both women and men in the spiritual nurturing of children in the home, church, and community. New Nation Christian Centre offers a model of children’s ministry that seeks to integrate God’s people into a community of disciples through a holistic ministry approach involving a partnership with the home, community, and the gathered church.

YOUTH’S MINISTRY
Youth Ministries at NNCCO are all about bringing youth to a place of encountering the existence and awesomeness of God and committing themselves to a personal relationship with Jesus. It is a place for youth to shed their old lives and to press on toward perfection in Christ in a solid community that is built upon scripture. it’s about youth catching the grander vision of the gospel and being challenged to live lives that shake the world.
We exist because NNCCO believes that young people are an integral part of the Church and they are future leaders of our society. Because of that belief NNCCO is committed to leading young people into a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ and to facilitate their growth as disciples for Christian service. Together we work to accomplish a threefold strategy of
1) Evangelism, reaching young people for Christ;
2) Discipleship, equipping young people to be Christlike followers;
3) Leadership Development, empowering young people to serve others.

Abide with us
O Holy Spirit of God, abide with us; inspire all our thoughts; pervade our imaginations; suggest all our decisions; order all our doings. Be with us in our silence and in our speech, in our haste and in our leisure, in company and in solitude, in the freshness of the morning and in the weariness of the evening; and give us grace at all times humbly to rejoice in Thy mysterious companionship.
