Who we are
Our Church began in 1967 after South Perth Church of Christ (now called Lifestreams Church) felt the call to plant a church in the south east area of Perth. This launched what was known as the "Armadale-Kelmscott Church of Christ".
In 1971 our Church was released as its own autonomous organisation.
Over the years we have had many faithful leaders, elders, volunteers and members who have served and sown into the Church that we now call home. Our Church has always been known for its involvement in the local community, through advocacy, meeting physical, emotional, social and spiritual need. This continues to be a key value in our Church.
On 1 January 2017 Kelmscott Church of Christ started a new chapter in its history by becoming "New Spring Church".
WHAT WE VALUE
Core Values serve the Church as the lens through which we can view our decisions and actions. Core values determine the culture we want to cultivate, how priorities are set and help keep us in step with heart and mission of the Gospel.
The strength of our Core Values do not lie in their number, but in our willingness to allow them to take root in our hearts and firmly established in and through our community.
PURSUE GOD
We serve a God who is constantly revealing Himself to us. He wants to be known and has invited us to pursue Him so that we would know Him better.
It is our commitment to build a Church where every person has the opportunity to grow up in Christ, always considering their next step in faith, convinced of their need for continual personal growth.
Our desire is that every person would pursue their own relationship with God.
UNLEASH COMPASSION
This Church is all about reaching Perth with the goodness of God's love and good news of Christ's mission.
Our strategy is to intentionally find ways of unleashing compassion for people in the community both locally and overseas.
Our challenge is to discover how our faith can effectively engage with the surrounding community that God has allowed us to serve in.
LEAD COURAGEOUSLY
We want to see every person become part of the Church and mature into fully devoted followers of Christ. We see every person taking every opportunity for growth that God places before them.
We are committed to making courageous decisions in every area of life
