Orrstown United Brethren Church helps the people of our community and beyond with the saving gospel of Jesus Christ. We strive to create a friendly gathering that people look forward to visiting each week and show the grace and forgiveness of God. We are a family of believers where people can come and find healing for their souls. We are a place where God’s children love to come to learn. Pastor James grew up in the foster care system after suffering from years of abuse and neglect. He was eventually adopted. Pastor James was brought to Orrstown United Brethren with his grandparents, Ross and Shirley Walker, making Orrstown his home church. In his early teen years he served as a camp counselor at a regional Christian camp in Greencastle, PA, during which time he was able to share the gospel to campers. However, in his later teenage years he turned away from God and the church for a brief period of life, but eventually returned after hitting rock bottom. Pastor James brings with him to the church over 10 years of corporate and executive management experience in the hospitality industry. Pastor James began feeling the call to ministry on his heart while serving as the camp counselor, but never really put it to fruition until recent years. He is enrolled in an accelerated program at Lancaster Bible College and is expected to graduate in May 2023. Pastor James is engaged to Shaynia Guerriero, a mechanical engineer, planning an October 2022 wedding. When he is not working or studying, Pastor James loves to watch all sports, particularly baseball, and during the summer can be found frequenting Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia rooting on his beloved Phillies.

Orrstown UB Church History
The Orrstown United Brethren in Christ was founded in 1895, with the original church being constructed as a wood structure. Only the cemetery remains today as our current church was rebuilt as a larger brick structure in 1950. Additions were built on to the church in the 1990s, with the construction of two classrooms, two handicap accessible restrooms, and a nursery. Twenty-three pastors have served the congregation over 116 years, along with Twenty-nine pastorates, with six of those men serving twice.
