Who we are
We, the faithful members of Gate of Heaven and Our Lady of Victory Parishes, in union with our Bishop and Pastor, are called through baptism to share in the mission that Jesus Christ has entrusted to us. We celebrate the Sacraments and pledge our service to the community through use of our time, talent and treasure. We are dedicated to proclaiming the Word of God, to deepening the faith of our parishioners, and to reach out to all those in need.
We provide the necessary resources to educate in sharing our faith. We encourage our parents, grandparents and parish family to pray for vocations. Through Baptism, we each have an active role to play in the life and mission of the Church. We celebrate our faith as linked parishes jointly working together in many ways while maintaining our heritage as individual churches in the Back Mountain community.

Lord, teach me to listen.
The times are noisy and my ears are weary with the thousand raucous sounds which continuously assault them. Give me the spirit of the boy Samuel when he said to Thee, "Speak, for Thy servant heareth." Let me hear Thee speaking in my heart. Let me get used to the sound of Thy voice, that its tones may be familiar when the sounds of earth die away and the only sound will be the music of Thy speaking. Amen.
