Who we are
Mission
Our Savior Lutheran is a congregation of caring Christians who desire to share God’s love with each other and the people of the community.
Vision
We desire that our neighbors will recognize Our Savior as an integral part of the community fabric as they witness us touching their lives and telling about Jesus Christ to people of all ages.
If you are not a member of our congregation, we invite you to visit our campus and worship with us for several Sundays to get a feel for our community of faith. Pastor Eric Borchers is available to visit and discuss our community of faith, please ask for a visit with him. Be sure to check out our ministry areas, worship services, and Bible study opportunities.
What We Believe
Grace Alone
God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful by nature, rebel against Him and do not deserve His love. He sent His Son Jesus to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.
Faith Alone
By His suffering and death as the ultimate substitute for all people of all time, Jesus (God's Son) purchased and won forgiveness of sins and eternal life. His sacrifice paid the price for our sinfulness. Those who hear the Good News and believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior have eternal life. God the Holy Spirit creates faith in Jesus and gives people the gift of forgiveness.
Scripture Alone
The Bible is God's inerrant and infallible Word in which He reveals His Law (the Commandments) and His Gospel (the Good News of salvation) to all who believe in His Son Jesus. Lutherans believe the Bible is the only rule and norm for Christian doctrine and teaching.

Leader Bio:
In 1994 Pastor Eric began to travel with a missionary from his local church across the United States, Canada, and Mexico forming relationships with many different denominations and their youth pastors. These efforts were made in order to encourage building and construction teams to bring their time and gifts to a small mountain town deep in Mexico for the building of 'His Place, House of Missions' which is still in operation today.
Pastor Eric served in the Air Force for seven and a half years as a Counterintelligence Analyst and Operator. After sustaining a major injury, he was medically retired in June 2002.
He returned to ministry and attended Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri and graduated with a Masters of Divinity. His first call was to serve as Pastor of Family Life & Youth Ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church and Early Childcare Center in Gardnerville, NV and within six months he was asked to accept the call to serve as senior pastor at Trinity. Pastor Eric's second call was to serve as Pastor and School Superintendent at Zion Lutheran Church and School in San Francisco, CA.
Pastor Eric was installed June 8, 2014, as the fourth pastor of Our Savior Lutheran. He is excited to be back in his home state and have the opportunity to serve as the fourth pastor of Our Savior Lutheran and is looking forward to building lasting relationships in this community. Pastor Eric Borchers is married to Mindy and they are blessed with three beautiful children together.

Our Savior Lutheran Church Service Times
SUNDAY SERVICES
Traditional Service 8 am
Fellowship Time 9 am
Bible Study 930 am 1045 am
Our desire is for you to feel welcome from the moment you enter this mission training facility until the moment you exit to the mission field. At Our Savior you will find many different ages, ethnicities and walks of life. Relationships are the most important part of this family so don't stress about what to wear - we are just happy to have you join us for worship!
Children of all ages are important to us at Our Savior. We encourage young children to be in worship with their parents. Feel free to pick up a worship bag from the worship tree immediately inside the sanctuary doors. We provide this to assist your child to engage in worship. However, should you feel the need, both a cry room at the rear of the sanctuary and a safe nursery staffed by loving adults are here to serve your family.
It's been more than 6 years since the last service times update. Please make sure to contact the church to confirm service times.

Our Savior Lutheran Church History
History
The Early Years
On July 22, 1973, a small group met for the first time in the chapel of the Texas District Office with the goal of starting a new church in North Austin. Plans were made, a constitution was formed, and Rev. James Noffke was called as the first pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church (OSL). The first church building, located in an open field at the corner of Parmer Lane and North Lamar, was dedicated in August 1974.
Moving
OSL opened a preschool in 1974, and grades were added over the years. Following the annexation of a portion of the church’s land for the widening of Parmer Lane, the church moved to its current facility near the intersections of Yager Lane, Dessau Road, and Parmer Lane.
Pastors
While the congregation continues to face the challenges of ministry in an ever-changing world, the opportunities for ministry and outreach are tremendous. By God’s design, the church sits at a crossroads of major intersections in Northeast Austin. The surrounding neighborhoods are diverse and growing, meaning OSL’s ministries must also remain dynamic. While the ministries are continually evolving as we seek opportunities to serve the community’s needs, OSL stands firm in the unchanging and powerful Gospel message – Christ died for all and through Him and Him alone, we are saved.

Thank You, Lord
Your Holy Spirit enfolds me - making me realize I am not alone. Thank You for Your strength, Your wisdom and the comfort of Your presence. Even in the most agonizing times I have the knowledge that You are there, Lord. When all I can do is whisper Your Name, it is enough. You hear. You care. You understand. My praise and adoration, Lord Jesus. Amen.
