Who we are
We are a friendly, family based Church who seek to worship God, to love & encourage one another and connect in a relevant way with our community. We meet in the local Primary School each Sunday at 10.30am.
We were planted from Tonbridge Baptist Church in 1993. Since then we’ve seen many changes as God has led us together to grow & encounter Him. We have a membership of about 40 adults; & have active groups for children & youth.
We are passionate followers of Jesus, who are learning to experience what life should be like when we allow God’s love, grace & saving power to radically affect us. Our Sunday gatherings are fairly lively & informal; & our midweek smaller groups are vital for care, active faith & building our relationships together.
In the last year we’ve run Alpha, CAP Money Courses, & the Marriage Course. Sometimes in the Summer we break off from meeting in the school on Sundays, to meet & be involved in the community within which we live.
Richard Spicer was commissioned to lead the church in September 2010. He’s been involved in the leadership team for over 10 years, & recently felt God call him to give up his previous career as an optometrist to devote his time to seeing Jesus continue to build His church in Paddock Wood.
We have two youth/children workers & actively support several initiatives into our local schools, with counseling, CU, assemblies etc
