Who we are
Our Beliefs
We are an ecumenical church sponsored by 4 Christian denominations through the Church in Abingdon. We don't like to be labelled, but most of us would admit to being broadly evangelical and charismatic with a heart for mission by serving our neighbours in practical and meaningful ways. The Bible is important to us and we try to apply and live the teachings of Jesus. We also seek the living presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives individually and when we meet together.
We believe God is real and powerful and is reaching out to every one of us. He demonstrated his love for us amazingly in Jesus. Jesus experienced the worst that could be thrown at anybody and he knows about our needs. We believe that in dying and rising for us, Jesus has made it possible for us to know God personally and live in a close relationship with God. We believe each of us can discover God's wonderful plan and purpose for our lives.
Mission Statement In the power of the Holy Spirit we seek to proclaim the love and work of God as seen in Jesus Christ and revealed in the Bible.
Vision Statement
We wish to be a growing Church on Peachcroft where everyone is welcomed and together we:
• Enjoy being part of a loving, worshipping community. • Learn more about Jesus and through prayer experience the power of the Holy Spirit. • Reach out and serve God through serving our community.
Value Statement We desire to be:
• Faithful followers. • Active in mission. • Committed to worship. • True community.
