Who we are
People’s Worship Centre is a multicultural, evangelical Christian congregation located in Cliffside Village of Scarborough. It is affiliated with the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Canada.
The church was revived under the leadership of Reverend Haitram Samaroo in 1988 and has grown from three members to about one hundred today. Pastor Samaroo, his wife, Sister Shirley Samaroo and Sister Eunice Davis started building the church by home visitation and lots of prayer. God has been faithful in building the church. As more and more people came to commit their lives to Christ and experience the transformation He brings, they also committed to the church. A new sanctuary was constructed in 2000. And the nearby property also purchased to provide accommodation for various activities.
In 2015, Reverend David Jawahir, one of the elders of PWC, branched off to pioneer a new church in the Brampton area.
The Lord Jesus has promised to build His church and we are excited to see that being fulfilled today.

We are a body of born-again believers whose lives have been changed by power of the Lord Jesus Christ. We gather to worship Him, receive Biblical teaching to grow in His grace and knowledge and have enjoyable fellowship with the believers. This propels us to share the good news of His love to everyone so they can experience the new and abundant life in Jesus Christ.

With us night and morning
By gracious powers so wonderfully sheltered, and confidently waiting come what may, we know that God is with us night and morning, and never fails to greet us each new day. Yet is this heart by its old foe tormented, still evil days bring burdens hard to bear; Oh, give our frightened souls the sure salvation for which, O Lord, You taught us to prepare. And when this cup You give is filled to brimming with bitter suffering, hard to understand, we take it thankfully and without trembling, out of so good and so beloved a hand. Yet when again in this same world You give us the joy we had, the brightness of Your Sun, we shall remember all the days we lived through, and our whole life shall then be Yours alone.
