Worship Languages
Dress Code
We don't believe that God has commanded one specific style of dress for his public worship. As we come to worship God we must remember that we are to approach him in the awe of his holiness, with a sense of our exceeding sinfulness, and a great appreciation for his grace. We encourage people to dress in a manner that they believe is fit for such worship.

Providence Orthodox Presbyterian Church History
From a mission work…
In early 2004, several families began a Wednesday night Bible study and prayer time to seek God’s blessing in planting a church committed to Biblical worship as summarized in the Westminster Standards.
..to an organized congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church…
OPC Regional Home Missionary Jim Heemstra, and his wife Sandy, moved to the Bradenton area as the OPC established the mission work, Providence Presbyterian Church. Worship services began at the Riverfront Holiday Inn, in May, 2004. Providence called David Smiley to pastor the congregation in June, 2005.
…that God is blessing to establish in Bradenton…
God has continued to raise up Elders in the midst of his people here at Providence, and provided for a wonderfully building for us to meet in. In the early 2011, a church of like faith and practice offered to sell us their building. God allowed us to purchase the building, which has been a great blessing to our congregation.
…and continuing to grow in grace…
After God called Pastor Smiley to Pennsylvania, and Michael Borg came in January 2014 to Bradenton to pastor at Providence. Providence praises God for His ongoing blessing as we grow together in His grace.
