Who we are
At Rock of Ages Alliance Church, we are striving to be a leading worship center for the Lower Allegheny Valley in western Pennsylvania. In today’s world, there are many of us who seek meaningful relationships, a way to soften and open their hearts, and a path to connect with Jesus Christ. We wholeheartedly welcome members of this community to join us in song, service, worship and prayer.
In addition to worship and prayer, we participate in various outreach programs and ministries. We are also building a Sunday school program that will provide a Bible-based educational foundation for children.

Leader Bio:
Dennis Robb is a lifelong resident of the Lower Allegheny Valley, having been raised in Harwick and now residing in Springdale. He is a 1976 graduate of Springdale High School and has a Master of Divinity from the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh. He and his wife, Mia, have one married son, four grandchildren, and a cat named Fifi. Denny is a part-time couselor and instrutor at Teen Challenge of Western Pennsylvania, a Christian faith-based adult male drug and alcohol rehabilitation program in Rural Ridge. He enjoys teaching God's Word, sports, and loves people of all ages.
Besides his shared preaching responsibilities, Denny is responsible for weekly Sunday morning Bible Study at Rock of Ages, preaching at funerals, equipping and coordinating congregants toward evangelism and outreach ministries, participation in the Allegheny Valley School District and local ministerial association, overseeing the lay leaders of the Food Pantry ministry, providing pastoral care to congregants, and follow up with visitors to the church.
Favorite scripture verse:
I really don't have one faded verse. The verse that I need to pay regular attention to is: 'And He was saying to them all, 'If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.'' Luke 9:23

Local outreach & community activities
Our Rock of Ages family extends His love to everyone we meet. We regularly participate in the following local & international outreach & ministry programs:
Missions Trips
The Rock of Ages Church is a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. As a church we feel it is important to not only support local ministries, but also to support Missionaries as they go out into the world to share the love of Christ with others. With our prayers and financial giving, we help them in their efforts to lead people into a relationship with Jesus, make disciples, and spread the Gospel. See photos from some of our missionary trips in the Gallery.
Lower Valley Community Food Bank
Each month the food bank suggests a different item in need to be collected. We as a congregation bring in the items needed and place them in the bin under the coat rack near the entrance to the Sanctuary. This community help is one way we can share our love with our neighbors while meeting a few of their physical needs.
Angel Tree Ministries
Angel Tree Ministries is a program that connects parents in prison with their children through the delivery of a Christmas gift and the Gospel. Members of our congregation volunteer to purchase and/or deliver a gift on behalf of the incarcerated parent. This is a way to recognize and care for some of the most overlooked members of our community.
Try Life Center Baby Bottle Campaign
Try Life is a faith-based, life-affirming, pregnancy and family resource center dedicated to promoting the life of the unborn child, and the physical well-being of their parents and families, through confidential counseling, education, and material support. Congregants wishing to participate receive a baby bottle to collect donations.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
The prayer shawls are meant to be a reflection of God's care and love. While making the prayer shawls, the volunteers pray that the recipient will be blessed as they are wrapped in the security of God's love, and that they will be comforted as they face difficult times. The prayer shawls are given freely to those in need and can be found in the front of the church on the altar.
