Our vision represents our dreams of the kind of church we want to be, taking what God has called all followers of Jesus to aim for and applying it to our church now - these people, in this place, at this time. Our vision is to be a church where people find hope and home. The world is frequently a hopeless, lonely place. We believe God has us here to push back against that - sharing the eternal hope we have because of Jesus and the home he has given us with each other.

And we want to love people not just in word or feeling but in ways that could change their lives for the better (just like Jesus did for us). We want the ideals of "wholehearted pursuit" and "transforming love" to refine our church.

I was born in Indiana where I lived my whole life (stints in Bloomington, West Lafayette, Indianapolis, and Plainfield) until God called our family to minister in Sarasota. My wife Ashley and I were married in 2008 and we have three kids – Samuel, Lucy, and Grace. My calling as a follower of Jesus and a pastor is to know Jesus and to make him known.
I love getting to help people better understand the Bible and helping the local church discover and act on what God has given it to do for the Kingdom. I studied history at Purdue University and received my Master of Divinity from Cincinnati Bible Seminary.I love time with my family, and together we enjoy reading, hiking, board games, and a good movie or show.
I love sports of all varieties but I’m a much better fan than athlete. If you want to meet and talk about Jesus I hope it’s over a cup of coffee because I love Jesus, I love people, and I love coffee.
