Who we are
We are St. Andrew's United Church, an affirming faith community in the heart of Buckingham, Quebec.
Our church building is characterized by our magnificent rose window. It is a large, round, stained glass window which is west facing and visible to all who travel along the main throughway, avenue de Buckingham.
Our sanctuary also features a beautiful organ from Casavant Frères, Saint-Hyacinthe, made in 1953 (opus no. 2178).
The building was constructed as a Presbyterian church in 1890. In 1925, St. Andrew's United Church was established and became the gathering place for Methodists, congregationalists, and Presbyterians in the area.

Église St. Andrew’s
L’église Unie pentecôtiste St. Andrew’s ou St. Andrew’s United Church se situe dans l’arrondissement de Buckingham de la ville de Gatineau.
Cette église, caractérisée par une magnifique rosace, vitrail rond au style flamboyant qui est remarqué de tous les passants empruntant l’avenue de Buckingham, a été érigée en 1890 comme une église presbytérienne. En 1925, pourtant, elle est devenue le lieu de rassemblement des méthodistes, congrégationalistes et presbytériens de la ville de Buckingham.
La façade principale de l’église est revêtue en brique, la forme de la voûte est en arc polygonal et le plan intérieur de l’édifice comprend une nef à un vaisseau. De beaux vitraux d’artiste(s) inconnu(s) ornent l’intérieur. Ces vitraux furent réalisés en 1890, 1917 et 1920.
Un orgue de Casavant Frères, Saint-Hyacinthe, fabriqué en 1953 (opus no.2178) y est installé.
À côté du temple on retrouve un presbytère et une salle communautaire.
