Who we are
We are a caring and welcoming community of faith. We strive to create a worship experience that nurtures and challenges a passionate relationship with God. We strive to live with the life and teachings of Jesus Christ in fulfilling the call of the ancient prophet Micah: “to do justice, love, love, mercy, and walk humbly with our God”. We reach out and respond to the needs of our local community and global communities.

Sunday School / Children and Youth Activities
Under 12s:
Children are an important part of our church community and are always welcome in worship. There are children’s bulletins and ‘pew packs’ for active minds and bodies located at the entrance of the sanctuary. There is also a children’s corner for those who would like to build or colour. Our nursery, located across from the St. James Room, is available to our youngest members and their grown-ups and is equipped with a washroom and changing table. And we welcome children of all ages to join us for Sunday School each Sunday September to June.

St. Andrew's United Church History
In the late 1850s a division occurred within the Presbyterian Church in Harvey, and as a result, the majority of the congregation left the old church and built a new one on the site of the present St. Andrews Church. On Christmas Eve, 1895, this church burned down. A new church was quickly built on the same spot, and was dedicated on January 24, 1897. In 1925 it became the property of the United Church of Canada after a vote was taken by congregation.

"I would rather train twenty men to pray, than a thousand to preach; A minister's highest mission ought to be to teach his people to pray."
