St Anne Service Times
Sunday
Holy Communion
At this Communion service we use the 1662 Prayer Book with its formal but lyrical language. There is no singing. There is a sermon by one of the Ministry Team who always wears robes. The service is quiet and reflective and lasts about 45 minutes.
Every Sunday at 8:00 AM for ¾ hour
Family Service
Usually lasting about an hour, this is our All-Age Family Service where the atmosphere is very relaxed. Leaders dress less formally. There is no Communion. The language is varied, contemporary and worshipful. There is a talk aimed at all members of the congregation which may involve active participation! Singing of hymns and songs is usually to a wind band or other music ensemble. Here also refreshments are served afterwards in church.
Every first Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour
Family Communion
The Book of Common Worship forms the basis for this service and the language is formal but more contemporary. The atmosphere is relaxed though leaders and preachers do wear robes. A mixture of classic hymns and more modern songs are sung to the accompaniment of the organ or electric piano, with the words projected onto screens. Children leave for part of the service to go for teaching and learning in the Light Club groups. They return to take part in Communion. After the service - which lasts about an hour and a quarter - refreshments are served in church.
Every Sunday except 1st Sunday of the month
Every second third fourth and fifth Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Wednesday
Prayer & Communion
A more formal Communion service, based on the Book of Common Worship. Held in the Lady (Chapel), it is quietly intimate with an emphasis on prayer for our World and lasts about an hour.
Every first Wednesday at 7:00 PM for 1 hour
It's been more than 8 years since the last service times update. Please make sure to contact the church to confirm service times.
